Fun things Friday: Excited edition!
I haven’t been posting much about my personal life lately because, well, it’s not that interesting. I go to school, learn things, go to work, do things, go to the gym, lift/spin/run on things, repeat.
BUT BUT BUT
As of last Friday, I GOT A (kick-a) JOB! <—-Can you tell I’m excited? I interviewed back at the end of January, and very impatiently waited for the yay or nay.
Thing is—I have no clue why they would pick someone who is extremely young, under qualified, and doesn’t even have a degree yet. Beats me. But I’m super excited.
I knew it was meant to be when I went in for my first interview and the head of my future department was sitting on a stability ball instead of a desk chair. It’s also in the heart of my favorite location to run downtown AND adjacent to the Pancake Pantry, because you know that’s important.
The best part? Full time status/pay = 30 hours a week, and I can set my own hours. This will be amazing with school and running schedules. Since it (Vanderbilt Medical Center) is connected to the University, I have access to free fitness classes, lots of discounts, and even FREE classes I can put towards my Master’s degree.
Don’t think you can’t land that big job? I did. Never think you can’t go after what you want, even if it seems a little unrealistic. You never know what may happen!
I also took today off just because I can. Which is awesome. I’m not going to do a stinking thing.
